- This manual expands and updates the information in the first edition to provide greater depth and breadth to enable practitioners to improve and refine the quality of veterinary care they provide for British wildlife. The first part of the manual covers general principles and features new chapters on capture, handling and transportation, triage and decision making, first aid and emergency care, wildlife anaesthesia, management in captivity, hand rearing, and the investigation of wildlife crime.
